How do I setup Triple Rates on my 14MZ?
To set up dual rates, go to AFR (D/R) screen, select the control surface you want to set up, go to the "D/R" button. Select D/R 1 and turn it on. Select the control surface you want, Select which switch you wish to have it operate. After you select the switch, select its 'on posi' (middle of a 3 position switch). Now move the switch to the D/R 1 position and go to the main AFR(D/R) screen. Set Rate A and Rate B to the amount of D/R you wish for that function. Than go back to the "D/R" button. Select D/R 2 and turn it on, select the control surface you want to set up, select which switch you wish to have it operate. After you select the switch, select its 'on posi' (bottom of a 3 position switch). Now move the switch to the D/R 2 position and go to the main AFR(D/R) screen. Set Rate A and Rate B to the amount of D/R you wish for that function.
Now you have top position is full throw, middle is medium throw and bottom is low throw. Triple rates using only 2 D/R positions. This way you can have triple rates on ailerons, elevators and rudder all under 1 condition.
